What should be a joyful holiday season was marked with tragedy for several Durham residents.

Five people were injured Sunday, January 1st, after a shooting outside of a restaurant in Durham.

Another person was shot on Christmas morning.

In Durham alone, 100s of shootings were reported in 2022 with 40 of them being fatal.

Until Durham's crime can be brought under control, we can expect the violence to continue.
